Paintings, Photographs, or just killer hydrodynamics?

Abstract 1298B by Kim KeeverArtist (painter?), photographer and ex-NASA thermal engineer, Kim Keever, creates psychedelic clouds of twisting, swirling color by dumping industrial paint into a 200-gallon fish tank and photographing the nearly life-like movents. The results are reminiscent of either a very colorful nuclear explosion or the Nothing, a sinister, world-gobbling storm of fear and sadness from The NeverEnding Story (hello, childhood). Either way, it’s a whole lot of cool with just a smidgeon of eerie.
